Programme Manager (Disability Sport)
During the last two years the Trust has clarified its purpose and objectives and as a result is now entering an exciting new phase – including a new operational model for the disability sport work of the Trust. Based at the Trust Head Office in Auckland and reporting to the National Manager, the Programme Manager is a new position, tasked with developing and reviewing disability sport programmes and ‘tools’; training and managing staff; and monitoring and evaluating to ensure that we are achieving our desired outcomes and impacts. We require someone who has considerable experience in a similar role.
Essential to this role will be maintaining strong working relationships with others in the sports sector including Sport NZ (SPARC), Regional Sports Trusts, Parafeds, Paralympics New Zealand, Disability Sport Organisations (e.g. Boccia and Wheelchair Basketball), clubs, schools and private providers. Extracting maximum value from the budget by being innovative and leveraging relationships will be important.
The ideal candidate will be a very experienced and successful sport development professional with broad skills, a passion for sport and the NFP sector, and a successful track record of initiating and executing effective work that achieves results and contributes to the success of an organisation. They will be experienced at implementing and evaluating programmes, training and managing staff, and proficient in IT/CRMs/databases.
