Westpac Staff Volunteer Days

As part of Westpac's sponsorship of the Halberg Trust they offer every staff member the opportunity to take one full day of paid leave each year to volunteer in their community.

Westpac’s association with the Halberg Trust meant we were able to help over 500 people with disabilities in 2008, their families and caregivers participate in community events and have a go activities.

Westpac goal is to help 2000 New Zealanders with a disability get involved in sport and active leisure by the end of 2012, in partnership with the Halberg Trust, starting with 500 in 2009.

Westpac allows all employees to take one day off each year to support the community organisations and activities they care about - from helping out at a local school to organised events with the Halberg Trust.The staff volunteer day is a paid day and doesn’t come out of annual leave allowance.
